Gold Coast Life

Team Gold Coast is extremely proud of all of our young players who are not only great players but also incredible people! It is so heartening for everyone at Gold Coast to hear consistent reports about how the children are excelling at school and beyond! Today we celebrate GCFC Newcastle’s, Angelica Sheehan. Angie, like all of the girls on the 2006 squad, is such a nice person. Happy, polite, respectful, diligent, enthusiastic, hard-working. Angie constantly seeks to help others throughout training and the games and this doesn’t end on the soccer field! Her drive to help others has led her to actually invent a number of useful instruments for people to use in their every day lives, ranging from designing backup generators that run off renewable energy to a portable body scanner designed to detect problematic ticks on human skin! In 3rd Grade, her project design won 1st Place in a National Tournament sponsored by Toshiba Exploravision. Angie and her team flew to the Nation’s Capital to collect their Award. A truly remarkable achievement, remembered here in a brilliant video!
